Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization Seeks Public Input

The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) is seeking public input for its update to the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). CRTPO is the federally-designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Charlotte Urbanized Area, which includes Iredell and Mecklenburg Counties as well as the urbanized portion of Union County. Davidson residents are invited to provide feedback about the region’s long-range transportation needs and issues affecting the Charlotte Urbanized Area into the year 2050 and beyond. Respondents can offer input on the 2050 MTP web site, 2050mtp.org, by completing a survey, adding comments on an interactive map or submitting a contact form. There will be an open public comment period until December 31, 2020.

CRTPO will host a virtual public meeting allowing stakeholders to learn more about the development and importance of CRTPO’s 2050 MTP on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The meeting will include a panel of transportation professionals from around the state. Panelists will discuss current transportation opportunities and challenges within the Charlotte region and how the 2050 MTP can help address transportation needs for the future. Davidson residents can join the meeting by filling out the online RSVP form.
