Davidson MLK Celebration Set For Jan. 20: Event Details

DAVIDSON, NC — The Town of Davidson will hold its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., community celebration Monday, Jan. 20 at Town Hall.

“It’s so important to bring the community together to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. There are many lessons from his lifetime of service that we can learn from and implement in our daily lives,” said Leslie Willis, Interim Parks and Recreation Director.

The event will take place in the Town Hall Board Room at 10 a.m.

Say event organizers: “We are honored to bring the community together to celebrate the life and work of this inspirational individual. This year’s event will include:

  • Light refreshments
  • Spoken word, Ms. Chandra DuBose and Mr. Maurice J. Norman, Cornerstone Poets
  • Guest speaker, Rev. Anthony Davis, Pastor, Reeves Temple AMEZ
