Davidson’s Fisher Farm Park Scene of Sexual Assault, Attempted Rape
CMPD has in custody a suspect wanted for a sexual assault and attempted rape at the remote Davidson park, report says.
DAVIDSON, NC -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have in custody a suspect in connection to a sexual assault and attempted rape in Davidson’s Fisher Farm Park, The Charlotte Observer reported.
The incident, which occurred Thursday evening at the 200-acre park on Shearer Road, happened around 6 p.m., according to the newspaper.
Town officials reportedly sent an email to residents regarding the alleged attack and said the victim and suspect knew each other. While Davidson Police responded to the initial call, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department will be leading the investigation since the park property is outside the town’s boundary, the newspaper said.
