Davidson Star Party Set For Friday Night

Davidson College's Physics Department is bringing out their telescopes and throwing a "Star Party" Friday night on the campus lawn.

DAVIDSON, NC — While there won’t be a red carpet, there will be plenty of stars in Davidson Friday night, thanks to the Davidson College Physics Department. The department will set up telescopes on the campus lawn for a Star Party, offering tours of the stars, planets, nebulae and galaxies.

This event, which is set to run from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, April 27, is free and open to the public.

Say organizers: “Due to the nature of astronomy, the Star Party will only be held in the case of clear skies. If the weather is questionable, check for event updates at www.kristenlthompson.com/outreach or the ‘Davidson College Physics Department’ Facebook page.”
