Davidson Weekend Forecast: Severe Weather On Its Way
Enjoy the sunny, pleasant weather while you can. Heavy rain and possibly hail and tornadoes are in this weekend's forecast.

DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson’s weekend will be off to a sunny start with pleasantly warm temperatures, but conditions will turn grey and soggy by Sunday, forecasters warn. The rainy weather headed to the Charlotte-metro weather is expected to be potentially so severe that the National Weather Service has issued a warning.
“A strong cold front will push through the region, producing a line of showers and thunderstorms,” the National Weather Service said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook notice Thursday. “Late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon, conditions will befavorable for some of these thunderstorms to produce damaging winds, hail up to 1 inch in diameter, and perhaps a few brief tornadoes.”
Thursday’s sunny skies and mid-70 temperatures will continue through Saturday, when temperatures are expected to rise to nearly 80 degrees. By Sunday morning, however, conditions will change dramatically and heavy downpours are a near certainty.
