Gunfire Reported In Davidson, No Active Shooter Found: Police
Davidson College police gave the "all-clear" after reports that there was gunfire near the campus Wednesday morning.
DAVIDSON, NC β Reports of an active shooter on the campus of Davidson College Wednesday morning were a false alarm, according to campus police who said there was no evidence that there was a threat.
Students and faculty at the college received a message early Oct. 2 alerting that there was an active threat on campus.
βDavidson College Campus Police received reports of gunfire at the Hurt Hub@Davidson and responded immediately,β said Davidson College Chief of Campus Police Todd Sigler.

βTheir investigation found no signs of an active shooter or any other threat, and they issued the all-clear message shortly thereafter,β Sigler said.
βThe safety and well-being of Davidson students is our highest priority, and we take all reports of threats seriously,β he said.
