Heavy Rain Headed To Lake Norman, Regional Flooding Possible
A flood advisory was issued for northwest Charlotte Wednesday morning as the region braces for heavy rain starting Thursday.

DAVIDSON, NC — Heavy rain moving into North Carolina Thursday will lead to a soggy start to 2019 and possibly localized flooding in areas already saturated from recent rainfall, according to the National Weather Service.
A storm system will bring heavy rain into the Charlotte metro and Lake Norman area Thursday evening stretching into Friday.
“The expected rainfall, with likely totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with locally higher amounts in and near the mountains, could cause flooding of streams, creeks, and main stem rivers through the end of the week,” the National Weather Service said Wednesday morning.
