Heck YA! Book Fest In Davidson: List Of Authors

DAVIDSON, NC — Fans of young adult fiction will have soon an opportunity to meet 17 authors of the genre as part of the Heck YA! Book Fest sponsored by Main Street Books in Davidson.

The young readers’ event is free and will showcase 17 authors of middle grade and young adult fiction in what the bookstore says will be “an afternoon of campy literary delight” in Davidson.

Says Main Street Books:
“Readers begin the afternoon with a camp-style assembly with keynote from author Gillian McDunn. Following the opening assembly, readers then attend three 50-minute author panels for lively discussions on themes and writing. The afternoon concludes with a closing ceremony and sign-around during which all 17 authors will be available to sign copies of books purchased from Main Street Books.”

Demand for registration to attend the panel sessions has closed due to reaching capacity, according to the bookstore, however all authors will be on hand to sign copies of their books beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The Heck YA! Book Fest is Saturday, July 27 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Main Street Books, located at 126 S. Main Street in Davidson.
