Lake Norman's First Frost On Its Way: Week Ahead Forecast
Enjoy the mild weather while you can because showers are expected this week, followed by the first frost of the season this weekend.

DAVIDSON, NC — This week will be one of showers and cooling temperatures that will possibly lead to the region seeing its first frost of the season this weekend.
Showers are possible in the Lake Norman region Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Conditions will clear out Wednesday, but cooler temperatures will prevail, with daily highs in the low to mid-60s through the end of the week. Rain returns to the forecast in earnest by Saturday, before the first blast of autumn hits the region, according to forecasters.
“Cool, Canadian air will spill into the region on Sunday. Areas of frost could develop across the foothills and piedmont Sunday night into Monday morning as winds become light in the chilly air mass,” the National Weather Service said in a hazardous weather outlook Tuesday morning.
