Description1Mecklenburg County’s Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) has more than $2 million in funding for Fiscal Year 2023 available for programs that serve at-risk and delinquent youth in Mecklenburg County.   The JCPC addresses the gaps in youth services by promoting prevention, intervention, treatment and aftercare strategies and programs which strengthen families and support community safety. Local JCPC funding is used to help reduce and prevent juvenile crime.  The Council is currently accepting proposals for programs that serve delinquent youth ages 6 to 17 who are either under the supervision of juvenile court, lacking supervision, or youth who are exhibiting behaviors which present the highest risk of juvenile court involvement.  An approximate $2,051,713.00 anticipated allocation will be provided for fiscal year 2022-2023 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023)  Contingent upon funding availability, grants will be awarded to local public agencies, 501(c)3 non-profits, and local housing authorities providing services consistent with the Mecklenburg County JCPC annual plan.  Interested applicants are required to attend a Pre-Bid Information session. Potential applicants must attend at least one Pre-Bid Information session before applying for funds.
