Mecklenburg County Offers Halloween Safety Tips

As concerns regarding the transmission of COVID-19 continue and restrictions remain in place, specifically with respect to outdoor gatherings, the Town of Davidson is passing along some safety tips published yesterday by Mecklenburg County Public Health.

While holidays are traditionally times for friends and family to gather, there are several Halloween activities that are not recommended. In particular, any type of gathering that does not adhere to the 3 Ws (wear a mask, wait at a social distance, wash your hands) and thereby increases the risk of exposure to COVID-19 should be avoided, both during Halloween and afterwards.

To help with navigating the holidays safely, Mecklenburg County Public Health has produced a helpful flyer with Dos and Don’ts to keep in mind. You can access that flyer here. The department has a COVID-19 hotline at 980-314-9400, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Stay safe, Davidson, and Happy Halloween!
