Medical Emergency At Davidson Landing Leads To Drug Search: DPD

Police spotted narcotics and evidence of their manufacturing while responding to a medical emergency at Davidson Landing Thursday.

DAVIDSON, NC — A medical emergency reported early Thursday morning in the Davidson Landing community has led to a drug investigation, according to Davidson Police Department.

DPD, along with Davidson Fire and Medic, responded to the 700 block of Southwest Drive around 3:30 a.m. Dec. 5, where they found a woman in medical distress. She was transported to Novant Huntersville Hospital for treatment, police said.

While on the scene, offers spotted narcotics and evidence of their manufacture.

“Officers secured the residence once the medical emergency was addressed and any hazardous materials were secured as well,” DPD said.

Two men described as tenants at the home were detained, however DPD did not immediately say if any arrests had been made.

DPD investigators applied for and received a search warrant, and say the investigation remains ongoing.

“There is no threat to the public or nearby residences,” DPD said.
