More Charges In Davidson Nail Salon Human Trafficking Case: DPD

Two suspects recently arrested for human trafficking at at Davidson nail salon face new assault, conspiracy charges, Davidson police said.

DAVIDSON, NC — A couple arrested in late June and charged with human trafficking at in a Davidson nail salon face a new set of charges that include aggravated assault, felony conspiracy and intimidation of a witness, Davidson Police said Monday.

In June, Tien Luong, 34, and Nip Mihn Tsi, 36, were arrested for human trafficking and involuntary servitude of an adult victim, as well as felony conspiracy and assault causing serious bodily injury following an investigation of Luxury Nail Salon located at 610 Jetton Street in Davidson.

According to DPD, an investigation launched July 26 — one month after the earlier arrest — stemmed from an incident at the nail salon involving a 57-year-old victim, who is related to Luong.

“The injuries suffered were serious and consistent with injuries suffered by the victim in the human trafficking case,” DPD said in a statement.

Luong and Tsi were arrested Aug. 8 and transported to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
