Murder Mystery, Live Music: Davidson, Cornelius This Weekend

DAVIDSON, NC — From a murder mystery dinner to the last stretch of the Queen’s Feast restaurant week, there are plenty of fun events happening around Lake Norman this weekend. If you're looking for something to do, Patch has you covered.

The lead up to the weekend will be pleasant, with mostly sunny skies and mild daily highs in the high 80s and low 90s, the National Weather Service said Thursday. By Friday evening, however, the chance of rain comes back into the picture. There's a 20 percent chance of rain Friday evening, which doubles by Saturday. Here are five events to check out around Davidson and Lake Norman this weekend:

• Murder Mystery Dinner — Friday, July 27, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. All Around The Board, 18047 West Catawba Avenue, Cornelius
• Davidson Farmers' Market — Saturdays, 8 a.m. - noon. Located next to Town Hall between Main & Jackson Streets.
• Lake Norman Summer Concert Series — Saturday, July 28, 5 p.m. D9 Brewing Company, 11138 Treynorth Drive, Cornelius.
• Davidson Community Players: Steel Magnolias — Duke Family Performance Hall, Davidson College, July 19 - July 29.
• Queen's Feast Restaurant Week — More than 125 restaurants throughout the region are offering great deals on 3-course meals. Runs July 20 - July 29.
