National Night Out 2019: Davidson Event Details

DAVIDSON, NC — On Tuesday, Aug. 6, police departments across the U.S., including Davidson, will be holding "National Night Out" community events aimed at strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

For nearly 40 years, National Night Out events have been held across the U.S. Last year, an estimated 38 million residents in 16,000 communities were expected to participate, according to the organization.

In Davidson, the police department is teaming up with a variety of community organizations to host the event in Roosevelt Wilson Park.

Hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks will be provided at the event, and organizers asks that town residents bring chips, a covered dish or a dessert to share.

National Night Out in Davidson will take place at Roosevelt Wilson Park, located at 420 Griffith Street, on Aug. 6, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
