Poetry, ‘Varina’ Discussion: April Events At Davidson Library

Davidson Library's April calendar is brimming with events, from a poetry reading to discussions on "Varina," by Charles Frazier.

DAVIDSON, NC — The Davidson Public Library’s April calendar is brimming with events, from a seminar on avoiding financial scams to a poetry reading and discussions on the town’s 2019 book selection, “Varina,” by Charles Frazier.

The work of historical fiction, set against the backdrop of the Civil War era of Frazier's earlier best-selling "Cold Mountain," has been selected as the Town of Davidson's book for the 2019 ReadDavidson town-wide reading program.

For the past 12 years, the Town of Davidson, Davidson Public Library and Main Street Books have partnered for the ReadDavidson program, which encourages community-wide reading through educational events related to a selected book.
