Missing Davidson Teen Located, Safe: DPD

DAVIDSON, NC — A Davidson teenager who had been missing for two days has been located and is safe, police said Wednesday morning.

Tuesday afternoon, DPD asked for the community’s help locating Bereket “Ket” Barrington, 16, after he left his home on Grey Road early March 9 without his cell phone, computer or wallet.

“Ket is known to frequently walk in Abersham Park and attends William A. Hough High School in Cornelius,” DPD said.

Barrington is described as 5-foot, 7-inches tall and about 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, has a deep voice and a slight Ethiopian accent, police said.

“If anyone has seen or spoken to Ket since Sunday night, please let us know he’s safe,” DPD said.

“The Davidson Police Department is happy to announce that Ket Barrington was located on March 11, 2020 and is safe,” DPD said in a statement. “Thank you to everyone who called, inquired and assisted during the search.”
