Public Rights Lawyer Bryan Stevenson To Speak At Davidson College

Acclaimed public rights lawyer Bryan Stevenson will speak at Davidson College. Here's how to get tickets.

DAVIDSON, NC — Bryan Stevenson, founder of the Montgomery, Alabama-based Equal Justice Initiative and an acclaimed public rights lawyer, will speak at Davidson College Jan. 28, the college announced.

The Reynold’s Lecture event is set to begin at 7 p.m.

Stevenson has dedicated his career to helping the poor, the incarcerated, and the condemned. Under his leadership, EJI has won major legal challenges eliminating excessive and unfair sentencing, exonerating innocent death row prisoners, confronting abuse of the incarcerated and the mentally ill, and aiding children prosecuted as adults.
Stevenson and his staff have won reversals, relief or release from prison for over 135 wrongly condemned prisoners on death row and won relief for hundreds of others wrongly convicted or unfairly sentenced.

The event is free and tickets may be obtained at the Union Ticket Office, by phone or online with a small processing fee. Tickets may be reserved online here.
