Ren Faire, Dog Show, Fall Festival: This Weekend In Lake Norman
From the Renaissance Festival to a wiener dog race, there are plenty of fun events happening around the lake this weekend.

DAVIDSON, NC — Fall is in full swing around Lake Norman this weekend, with plenty of fun things to do. Dogs from around the region will be putting their best paws forward at the All American Dog Show in Cornelius. Grab a turkey leg at the Renaissance Festival, or take in the wiener dog races in downtown Mooresville. If you're looking for something to do, Patch has you covered.
Here are five events to check out around Lake Norman this weekend:
- 2nd Annual Food Fight — Saturday, Oct. 6, 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Ada Jenkins Center, 212 Gamble Street, Davidson.
- All American Dog Show — Saturday, Oct. 6, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Robbins Park, 17738 West Catawba Avenue, Cornelius.
- Carolina Renaissance Festival Kids Free Weekend — Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Carolina Renaissance Festival, 16445 Poplar Tent Road, Huntersville.
- Mooresville Wiener Race — Saturday, Oct. 6, 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Downtown Mooresville.
- SoMa Fall Festival — Saturday, Oct. 6, 2 p.m. — 7 p.m. South Main Street, Davidson.
