Santa To Visit Davidson Neighborhoods Next Week

DAVIDSON, NC —Santa Claus is coming to town early in Davidson. In the coming days, the jolly old Saint Nick is pre-gaming Christmas Eve by paying visits to those on his nice list around town. On Dec. 13 and 14, Santa will be perform his holiday reconnaissance atop a Davidson Fire Department truck.

So, if you hear fire truck sirens and music, don’t panic. It might just mean Santa is outside your home.

“We look forward to driving Santa around town to scope out his Christmas Eve route,” said Davidson Fire Chief Bo Fitzgerald. “Please come out and wave to Santa as we pass by.”

One thing to keep in mind is that turning around a fire engine in cul-de-sacs and dead-end streets is difficult. The fire department asks that if your house is located on one, that you walk to the entrance of your neighborhood so you can see Santa from there.

Here is Santa’s schedule in Davidson next week:

• Wednesday, Dec. 13 -- From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Santa will visit Town of Davidson locations EAST of the East Rocky River roundabout.
• Thursday, Dec. 14 -- From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Santa will visit Town of Davidson locations WEST of the East Rocky River roundabout.
