Sexual Battery, Assault, Larceny: Crimes Reported In Davidson
Here's a rundown of crimes reported to Davidson Police Department this week.
DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson police made one arrest this past week and took numerous reports of crimes including a domestic violence order violation, sexual battery and larceny, according to the police blotter.
Matthew Aaron Wishart, 40, was arrested Oct. 31 on Davidson-Concord Road and charged with an order for arrest for a probation violation in Cleveland County, Davidson Police Department said.
Here are the crimes reported to DPD between Oct. 27 and Nov. 2:

- Oct. 28 — Domestic violence order violation, Sharon Dale Drive
- Oct. 30 — Possession marijuana/drug paraphernalia, Beaty Street
- Oct. 30 — Possession of marijuana, Beaty Street
- Oct. 31 — Larceny (misdemeanor), Harper Lee Street
- Nov. 1 — Simple assault, Stanley McElrath Road
- Nov. 1 — Sexual Battery (misdemeanor), Catawba Avenue
DPD officers issued 26 citations between Oct. 27 and Nov. 2 for the following violations:
- Displaying a revoked tag — 1
- Driving while license revoked — 1
- Expired tag — 4
- No operator's license — 2
- Possession of Marijuana/drug paraphernalia — 2
- Red light violation — 2
- Seatbelt violation — 4
- Speeding — 8
- Stop sign violation — 1
- Texting while driving — 1
