Things To Do In Davidson & Cornelius On Super Bowl Weekend
Looking for things to do that don't involve watching the Patriots and Eagles? There are plenty of events throughout the weekend.

DAVIDSON, NC —Maybe watching the Super Bowl isn't your thing, or you want something to do before the big game starts. Either way, you'll be looking for events to pass the time.
Even though the Super Bowl will dominate Sunday, there's still a variety of events to look forward to around Davison, Cornelius and the Charlotte-metro area this weekend.
Here are five events to check out in the area:

1. Stand-up Comedy at The Mill
Feb. 2, 8 p.m. - 10 p.m., Studio 13, 19725 Oak St, Ste 13, Cornelius

It’s the first friday of the month, which means it’s a night of stand-up comedy at The Mill. Comics featured include host and feature performer Jacques Belliveau, James R Hustle, Mimi J Benfield, Mark Trexler, Mo Yarborough, Lauren Ansley and Jax Benson.
2. Davidson Tour De Food Foodie Tour
Feb. 3, 1:30 p.m - 5 p.m., The Brickhouse Tavern, 209 Delburg St., Davidson
Take a tour of Davidson and it’s food scene. Says the tour operator: “We will sample some of the finest culinary delights these establishments have to offer. At one of the stops enjoy a local beer or wine tasting. You will get to meet the owners and chefs for a very personal experience unlike any other.”
3. Author Reading & Signing: Daisy Hernandez
Feb. 3, 5 p.m., Main Street Books, 126 S. Main St., Davidson
Join writer, feminist and social commentator Daisy Hernandez as she reads from A Cup of Water Under My Bed: A Memoir.
4. Mooresville Bluegrass
Feb. 3, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., 684 Presbyterian Road, Mooresville
Hazy Ridge Bluegrass from Clemmons, N.C. will be picking at this free, family-friendly event.
5. Queen City Brewers Festival
Feb. 3, The Fillmore at AvidXchange Music Factory, 820 Hamilton St., Charlotte
This is the 7th year for the festival that brings together all of the Queen City’s brewers to one location. This event is also the annual winter fundraiser for ACEing Autism-Charlotte.
