Town Of Davidson: How To Report A Power Outage

Town of Davidson staff are monitoring weather conditions in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). As conditions worsen, snow or freezing precipitation can cause outages due to the weight they create on tree limbs, which can break or sag onto power lines. Please view the information below from both energy providers in town to see how you can report power outages. Reporting a Power Outage

Duke Energy

PHONE: Customers who experience power outages should call Duke Energy's automated outage-reporting systems: Duke Energy Carolinas: 1-800-POWERON (1-800-769-3766) or text OUT to 57801

ONLINE: Customers may also report an outage online at www.duke-energy.com/outages

SOCIAL MEDIA: Duke Energy will also provide updates on its social media channels to keep customers informed if significant outages occur:

Energy United

PHONE: Call 1-800-EUNITED (1-800-386-4833) to use Energy United's Automated Support System.

ONLINE: Report an outage online by logging in to your Energy United Account. Customers can also sign up for outage alerts and receive real-time alerts of when power will be restored.

If a customer has information concerning the outage or would prefer to speak with a Customer Care Representative, call 1-800-522-3793.

For all NON-EMERGENCY concerns (such as a tree in the road, etc.), please contact the EOC directly by phone at 704-940-9643. This will help reduce congestion for emergency dispatch. For all emergencies, please still call 911 directly.
