Trick-Or-Treat Forecast: What Lake Norman Can Expect

DAVIDSON, NC — There's nothing that could spoil trick-or-treat night with the kids than some rain. It looks like that won't be the case this year around Lake Norman.

The National Weather Service calls for a sunny day and mostly cloudy night on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The day will bring a comfortable high of 73 and nighttime lows in the high 50s.

The promising Halloween forecast comes after a cooler Monday. Temperatures will warm Tuesday into Wednesday.

Luckily rain isn't in the forecast until Halloween festivities have concluded. The National Weather Service says there's a 70 percent chance of rain Thursday night.

Here's the full forecast for Lake Norman for the next few days, according to the National Weather Service:

Sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
Tonight
Clear, with a low around 42. North northeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
Tuesday (Oct. 30
Sunny, with a high near 66. Light and variable wind.
Tuesday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Light south southwest wind.
Wednesday (Oct. 31)
Sunny, with a high near 73. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.
Thursday (Nov. 1)
A 40 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73.

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 2am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2am and 4am, then a chance of showers after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 57. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Friday (Nov. 2)
A 30 percent chance of showers before 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 66.
