Video Footage Leads To Arrest In Davidson Church Robbery
Video surveillance from a Davidson church helped police track down a suspect wanted for breaking and entering, DPD said.

DAVIDSON, NC -- Davidson police are crediting video surveillance footage for the arrest of a suspect wanted for breaking and entering at Davidson College Presbyterian Church earlier this week.
Rodney Christopher Thomas, 50, was arrested for the church robbery and charged with breaking and entering and felony larceny for an incident that DPD says occurred between Sept. 24 and Sept. 25. According to police, Thomas is a repeat offender and was recently released from a three-year stint in prison.
DPD detectives are hoping to recover the stolen property, the town said in a statement. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news in Davidson — or other neighborhoods. And iPhone users: Check out Patch's new app.)
