Women’s Soccer, Regatta: This Weekend In Davidson, Cornelius
There are lots of fun things going on around Lake Norman this weekend, from women's soccer to jazz and a sailing regatta.

DAVIDSON, NC — From watching the Davidson College women’s soccer team take on the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to a book reading and sailing regatta on Lake Norman, there are plenty of fun events to check out around Davidson and Cornelius this weekend.
Here are five events to check out this weekend:
- Davidson College Women’s Soccer vs. UNCG — Friday, Sept. 7, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Alumni Soccer Stadium, 407 Ridge Rd., Davidson.
- 2018 Sailing Regatta — Friday, Sept. 7 - Sunday, Sept. 9. Lake Norman Yacht Club, 297 Yacht Road, Mooresville.
- Reading & Signing: Patrice Gopo — Saturday, Sept. 8, 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. Main Street Books, 126 S. Main St., Davidson
- Builder’s Bash benefit for Our Towns Habitat for Humanity — Saturday, Sept. 8, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Sweet Magnolia Estate, 10101 Bailey Road, Cornelius.
- Sunday Jazz Jam — Sunday, Sept. 9, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Old Town Public House, 21314 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius.
