• NC man charged with robbing gas station (themountainpress.com) — An Etowah resident has been charged in Tennessee after police say a gas station in Pigeon Forge was robbed and cash taken before officers quickly located a matching vehicle and suspect nearby. Local readers should note that the man, identified as being from Etowah, is now facing an aggravated robbery charge and is being held in Sevier County jail.
