• Brevard secures funds for construction of final 8 miles of Ecusta Trail (wlos.com) — Etowah residents can look forward to direct access to the Ecusta Trail, as Brevard has secured enough funding to build its final eight-mile segment of the 19-mile rail-trail. Construction is expected to start in late summer or early fall 2027 and take up to two years, ultimately linking Brevard, Etowah, Horse Shoe, Laurel Park, and Hendersonville with a paved, multiuse path.
