The Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Office is hosting two virtual programs for bee enthusiasts and plant lovers as part of their Better Living Series.

What’s the Buzz?
Bees are amazing creatures. Learn how to keep these essential workers healthy, discover some of the usefulness and benefits of their products and engage in creating a lotion bar to combat the dry, cold air. A list of materials needed to make the lotion bar will be provided to those that register.

When: Feb. 23 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Virtually via Zoom
The class is free, but registration is required. Register with Eventbrite or by contacting Susan Johnson at susan_johnson@ncsu.edu or 910-321-6405. Before the event, participants will receive an email with the Zoom link and information on how to access the workshop.

Native Plants Class
Native plants have a substantial ecological impact on our environment, while also benefiting birds and pollinators.
Join Charlotte Glen, N.C. State Master Gardener program state coordinator, as she leads a workshop on how to successfully use native plants in your landscape.
When: March 2 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
