Greetings and Salutations. Finally received my own lil spot in cyberspace. This outta be interesting. I don't know what to expect, or if this will even prosper into something worth reading, but what the hell, let's give it a try. Today is Saturday and I've noticed my Facebook comrades posting about rain this and rain that....outside my window is sunshine and trees....no rain. I am disappointed b/c my husband and I recently bought our first home (yay!) in Fayetteville (eh lol) and our yard looks rather depleted. We have that wonderful NC sand-mixed-with-pine -tree-roots-mixed-with-fire-ants-with-some-grass-in-there-for-good-measure type of yard. So I've diligently put down grass seed in hopes to rival my across the street neighbor with the lawn I want to go do grass angels in lol. While I was aprehensive about buying in Fayetteville (oh no! another reason to be "stuck" here) I was getting tired of paying someone else's mortgage and being told what I could and could not do to "my home". I've had some really derelict realty company's in the past, with (and hopefully I'll have this same opinion once I get my sec dep back lol) the exception of the last one. Not to mention, our new house is bigger both sq ft wise and yard wise and is only $50 more a month than the rental. It was a breeze to buy it, I think my husband and I were both shocked at that fact. It's nice that the possibilities are endless (while the money may be not lol) as to what we can do with OUR house. It's def a nice feeling to be truly home. The cats are even enjoying it:).
