I've been researching a beach trip for Spring Break. Between Myrtle Beach and Wilmington, they both seem to have many opportunities for families. Any recommendations out there for great hotels?
Lodging. I've heard about the cottages at Fort Fisher for military family with great rates, but they are hard to come by on Spring Break, and it does not offer all the ammenities.
Locally, we have had fun day trips up to the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh and the great science museums. Nearby Fort Bragg is the Aloha Zoo, a small petting zoo with unique species of animals for a minimal fee.

If you are looking for a 'staycation', be sure to check into the open swim times for the indoor pool at Tolson, or the YMCA, followed up by a movie at the $2 Omni theater, that usually offers daily Spring Break movies.
