Chaplain’s Comments for August; God gave more than Ten Commandments in the Holy Scriptures. Actually there are more than 600 commandments. They are not the suggestions, but the commandments. I have listened to my Christian Brothers and Sisters at time rationalizing why they do not obey certain of the commandments, as if their excuses gave them a free pass on that specific sin or sins. Yes, to disobey God’s commandments is sin. One may plead their case for disobeying God’s commands to those on earth, but all born again believers will one day stand before the judgment seat, and be judged for those commands not obeyed. Unbelievers will stand before the Great White Throne of judgment and it will be too late for them to go to Heaven. What about you?? Smoking or non smoking? Which judgment will you be judged? It is not a religion or a denomination, but a relationship with the Lord by endeavoring to obey all His Word, commandments, and precepts. Selah.
