Friday morning was the 28th annual celebration of Citizenship Day at Vanstory Hills Elementary School in Fayetteville to honor those who serve in and out of uniform.

Billy Taylor, the plant manager of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is known for his ability to motivate others and that is just what he did today for students, faculty and families. Speaking to the crowd about his own experiences growing up and how they shaped him to become a good citizen, Taylor challenged the kids and had them chanting in unison by the end of his pep talk.

Another treat was the other guests of honor from Fort Bragg, the 82nd Airborne's All-American Chorus. The soldiers marched in step into the school yard through the crowd of students calling cadence as they prepared to perform many of their patriotic numbers.
