Book Signing at Bragg North Post PX today

CNN's Bonnie Schneider brings her expertise to share with servicemembers from the 18th Weather Squadron and emergency management personnel on Tuesday to discuss extreme weather events.

Schneider joined CNN in 2005 and had wanted to create a book of stories from survivors of extreme weather situations to include: tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, heat waves, and snowstorms. Her book “Extreme Weather” came out Jan. 31.

Tales of survivor stories are just part of the book that includes stories from the 2010 Mississippi tornado, Hurricane Katrina and the Thailand tsunamis.

Making current social media platforms work for her, she included a chapter on how to use social media during emergencies. The book serves as a 'how-to' guide for individuals with some tips even for pet care.

Schneider will sign copies at the North Post Exchange from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
