Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer and a Gentleman: Col. James H. Johnson Court-Martialed

Frequent deployments and the Army's operational tempo led to this leader's demise according to his spouse.

Col. James H. Johnson was removed from his command in March 2011 of the 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade. In June he was court-martialed in Germany.

Charges being faced by Johnson include: Failure to obey order or regulation, False official statements, Forgery, Fraud against the United States, Conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman, and Adultery.

Kris Johnson, Col. Johnson's wife, provided the 1,800-page report of the investigation to the Fayetteville Observer that detailed the officer's misconduct.

Johnson was a Fayetteville native graduating from in 1982 before going onto the United States Military Academy at West Point.
