Cross Creek Mall could not accomodate trick-or-treaters
A shortage of candy left many a Spiderman and Harry Potters disappointed last night
With an unexpected torrential downpour during the peak hours for trick-or-treating, many parents flocked to the Cross Creek Mall with their super heroes and princesses to stay warm and dry inside.
Apparently lots of other parents had the same idea and numerous stores posted signs by 6:30 p.m. that they were out of candy.
"We ran out of candy after just 30 minutes so many kids came through," said Deena Mathison a mall employee.

Some employees were seen at Justice coming in from buying more candy refills and Journey's had a long line of children waiting for their one piece of candy.
Parents and kids were disappointed alike, but the weather is unpredictable and with school tomorrow, it will be an early night on the count of rain - and no candy!
