Cross-Country Motorcycle Ride Stops at Siler City Kangaroo Express

More than 250 motorcycle riders will stop at the Siler City Kangaroo Express store on their way to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. as part of the annual “Run for the Wall” (RFTW) cross-country journey. The Kangaroo Express is anticipated to fuel hundreds of motorcycles in less than 30 minutes. The mayor and city council of Siler City will join the festivities and welcome the bikers.

The mayor of Fayetteville, escorted by the Rolling Thunder® Chapter 1 NC, will also ride his motorcycle to meet with RFTW participants at the Siler City Kangaroo Express stop.

Now in its 26th year, RFTW is a cross-country motorcycle journey that starts in Los Angeles and ends at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C the day before Memorial Day.

The goal of the motorcycle ride is to promote healing among all veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of prisoners of war and those still missing in action (POW/MIA) and to honor the memory of those killed in action (KIA) from all wars.
