Cumberland County: NC Works Career Center Moving To McPherson Church Road

The Cumberland County NCWorks Career Center is moving to a new location at 490 N. McPherson Church Rd. The new career center will officially open Monday, Aug. 2, at 8:30 a.m. and is located on a FAST bus route.

The NCWorks Career Center at 414 Ray Ave., is closed to in-person customers to allow for the transition to the new center. To speak with a live career advisor, go to the NCWorks.gov and click on the chat logo at the bottom right side of the webpage.

The NCWorks Career Center, formerly known as JobLink and as the Employment Security Commission,  has served the community at Ray Avenue for more than 30 years. The new location will provide a more modern setting for customers and career center employees.

The Cumberland County NCWorks Career Center provides job search and life skills classes, resume and cover letter preparation, skills assessment, career planning and development, occupational skills training and literacy skills.

The Cumberland County NCWorks Career Center operates under the administration of Mid-Carolina Council of Governments and is governed by the 21-member Workforce Development Board appointed by the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners.
