The Town of Stedman, Fayetteville Cumberland Parks and Recreation (FCPR) and Cumberland County Government will hold a ribbon cutting for the new concession building and exterior renovations at the Stedman Recreation Center and Stedman Elementary School Park at 175 Circle Drive in Stedman on Thursday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m.

The public is invited to the celebration of the improvements to the park, which includes a new concession building with restrooms, a walking trail and handicap accessible sidewalks and a patio style entry. The School Park project is a partnership between the Town of Stedman, Cumberland County Schools and FCPR.Â
The project also included dugout renovations, new split rail fencing and landscaping. The work started in October 2019. A total of $478,000 has been spent on the improvements over the last two years.
