North Carolina Veterans Park Dedication Ceremony

National, State, and Local Veterans Organizations will participate. All five branches of the military will take part in the ceremony. Speakers will include: Beverly Perdue (Governor of North Carolina), Jose Riojas (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Assistant Secretary,  Tony Chavonne (Mayor of Fayetteville, North Carolina), Gregory Lusk (North Carolina Adjutant General).

82nd Airborne ceremonial bank will provide music and following the Dedication Ceremony the 82nd Airborne All American Chorus will perform in the new North Carolina Veterans Park amphitheater.

Following the ribbon cutting in front of the Welcome Center the public will be invited into the park. There will be free hot dogs, ice cream, lemonade and cake provided to those in attendance.

The park will consists of a visitor's center, seven water features, walking paths and public art including the "Oath" wall where the casted hands of our veterans from all 100 North Carolina counties will be displayed. This park will provide a place for meaningful reflection and inspiration in a community setting that is beautiful, bold and unique to honor the lives, service and pride of North Carolina Veterans who served in all five branches of our nations military
