Every four years, the Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration perform a joint review to certify the planning practices of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) with populations over 200,000 in their urbanized area. FAMPO is one of the agencies designated by the U.S. Department of Transportation to make planning decisions about how to spend federal transportation dollars.

The FAMPO Certification Review Public Comment Period is open until April 16. You can help FAMPO by taking a brief survey available at fampocertrev.metroquest.com or by going to FAMPO.org and scrolling down the page to the “Quick Links” section. The survey is available in English or Spanish on both websites. (La encuesta está disponible en español e inglés). To send comments directly to the Federal Highway Administration, email Loretta Barren at Loretta.Barren@dot.gov.
