Fayetteville Technical Community College will host a Guard X hiring event with the North Carolina Army National Guard on Wednesday, Sept. 15, in FTCC’s Center for Business and Industry building at 2723 Fort Bragg Road.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature giveaways along with information about what it’s like to be in the National Guard. Military tactical vehicles and equipment will be on display in the CBI parking lot. Military vehicles may include Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Heavy Equipment Transporter trucks, Humvees (High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicles) and military service trucks.

The National Guard covers 100 percent of tuition and fees for students attending schools such as FTCC and also offers a monthly allowance of $397 through the Montgomery GI Bill. The Army National Guard currently has 105 open positions. More than half are trades-oriented.

Admission to this event is free and open to the public. Please observe COVID-19 safety protocols, including wearing a face mask.
