FireAntz Hockey Team Put on Army Boots

The local team gets a day at Fort Bragg while mentoring some future hockey players at Cleland Ice Rink.

The Fayetteville FireAntz hockey team made a trip to Fort Bragg on Tuesday evening for a team building event and youth hockey clinic at the Cleland Ice Rink.

The Fayetteville FireAntz hockey team is very excited about our upcoming visit to Fort Bragg,” said Mark Desantis, head coach and director of hockey operations. “Not only will this be a great team building day, but it will give us a snapshot of the daily activities that happen on Fort Bragg.”

The team, currently second in the standings in the Southern Professional Hockey League, got a glimpse of a typical work day for the Army and had the chance to work as a team to navigate an obstacle course; eat at a dining facility; fly a CH-47 Chinook helicopter in a flight simulator; and finished by working with some of Fort Bragg's youngest hockey players.
