First Degree Murder Charges for 2 Fort Bragg Soldiers
Police say soldiers are connected to a Spring Lake teenager found dead on Thursday

Two Fort Bragg soldiers are accused of killing an Overhills High School student whose body was found Thursday in a wooded area of N.C. 210 in Harnett County.
Two service members from the same company in of the 82nd Brigade Support Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division are accused of killing their  17-year old Spring Lake neighbor, Vincent Edwin Carlisle Jr.
Spc. Christopher Roger Blackett, 20, and Pvt. Sebastian Gamez , 20, were charged Thursday with night with first-degree murder and disposing of a corpse, according to the Harnett County Sheriff's Office.

According to a Fayetteville Observer report, Carlisle's family reported him missing Sunday, authorities said. It was about 2:10 p.m. Thursday when Carlisle's body was found in a wooded area off Shady Grove Road, north of Spring Lake, authorities said.Â
Carlisle's body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Family members said Blackett and Gamez had moved in next door about six months ago and had played basketball with Carlisle on occasions.
"The guys were friends with the family over here and so we don't know what happened, what transpired between Sunday and today," said Clarence Gaddy, Carlisle's uncle.
"This is surprising to everyone."
The soldiers are being held at the Harnett County Detention Center without bail.
Hundred of Carlisle's friends and family have rallied on a created Facebook page to pay their respects and share childhood memories.
On Carlisle's Facebook page his place of work lists 'Neighborhood Pharmacist'. No such business exists in our area.
