FORK & CORK: Sherefe Mediterranean Grill

Enjoy lunch and dinner at two great destinations

A little building can hold a lot of flair and a whole lot of flavor.
Such is Sherefe Mediterranean Grill on Ramsey Street, here in the Ville.
Also, a second location next to the Belk wing at Cross Creek Mall.

Two places with Mustafa's more than famous "Soup Nazi" soups in store.
And yes - more soup for you!

Mustafa Somar is the great mastermind chef behind his soups. Each soup is chock full of rich, homemade goodness to satisfy your soul and send your taste buds soaring.

I love a good, hot, homemade creamy soup and his Creamy Broccoli and Feta, cannot be beat. The Lemon Chicken is another personal favorite of mine because of its unique quality. The broth.

Mustafa can be found lingering over his pot of soup with the entire chicken simmering away, 'till all the rich goodness is extracted. The broth is his base and sheer gourmet talent are the ingredients he adds next.

Only the best ingredients, only the freshest and only made by Mustafa. All soups are also gluten free.

Dine-in or purchase his soup to-go. Look for his daily soup specials on Facebook.

Soup soothes and is such a quick, easy dinner. Here's a 'Trade Secret'. I've used his homemade lemon chicken as a stock base for making my favorite Chicken Pot Pie.

That's not all on Mustafa's menu, by any means. Mustafa Somar has been cooking and in the restaurant business for 23 years. Mediterranean food fits the bill at Sherefe's Mediterranean Grill.

With such delicacies as perfectly prepared Hummus that boasts just the right amount of garlic and lemon, spicy enough to have a slight kick. Other choices abound like, Fried Eggplant-Patlican Kizartma, or Grape Leaves-Yalanci Dolma, filled with rice, herbs, black currants and pine nuts.

Undecided or a bit uncertain perhaps chooses the 'Mediterranean Delight'. A large sampler plate that includes: hummus, tabouli, feta cheese, tomato, kalamata olives, falafel, dolma, tzatziki, and seared tuna. What a plate, trust me, you'll share!

Mustafa's most requested dishes at his Ramsey location are his Eggplant Pizza, Spinach Salads, Grilled Chicken and Greek Salad Wraps. His entrees include his very popular Lamb Burger, Gyro Doner Kebabs and even his 14 oz. Rib Eye.

House specialities such as Eggplant Lasagna, or perhaps his Lamb Begendi which is served over fire- roasted eggplant mashed potatoes.

His second location at the mall features soups, sandwiches and fantastic desserts. Limited house specialties can be found there as well.

Two forks up for a unique, high quality, little taste of Eden - Mediterranean Style.
Soups On, Cheers!
