Fort Bragg Deltas - Youth Informational Meeting

Applications are now being accepted for the Delta GEMS, Delta Academy, and Delta EMBODI programs.


The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is a national initiative designed to enrich and enhance the education of young females ages 11-14.


Delta GEMS, which stands for Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully, serves 9th – 12th grade girls and provides the frame work for at risk adolescent girls to actualize their dreams through the performance of specific tasks.

EMBODI stands for “Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence.” In this program, Delta collaborates with other organizations to help African-American males reach their fullest potential educationally, socially and emotionally through dialogues and recommendations for change and action.  


Youth interested in learning more about these programs should attend the informational session on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. The meeting will take place at Hope Mills Library, located at 3411 Golfview Road. Parents must attend with their youth. Youth of all races are encouraged to attend.
