About the Position:

Provide comprehensive program and budget analysis for acquisition, manpower, operational, and support requirements.

·        Formulate long-range, detailed budgets using a wide variety of cost estimating/analysis and financial analysis techniques.

·        Analyze, monitor, and track status of programs for future, current, and past fiscal years.

·        Track fund disbursements, obligations, and executions and notify management of potential financial issues.

·        Recommend changes in agency programs and funding to optimize the application of command resources.

·       Identify and defend major mission area fiscal requirements to staff analysts.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Specialized Experience: To Qualify applicants must possess one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of GS-09 OR a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.  Specialized experience is defined as: work that involves formulating of long-range, detailed budgets using a wide variety of cost estimating/analysis and financial analysis techniques; tracking all obligations and executions advising staff of potential financial issues; analyzing the impacts of alternative levels of funding in order to make trade off recommendations for balancing program resources.
