Innovative Southeastern Company Introduces Test to Help Patients Select Effective ADHD Treatment
Harmonyx Launches Test to Redefine the Way Medication is Prescribed

Harmonyx, a leading company in affordable and accessible genetic testing, recently launched a new test to help evaluate and determine effective treatment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As the most common neurodevelopmental disorder diagnosed in children, ADHD patients are often prescribed with medications that may not be the best fit for them. The Harmonyx® Test for ADHD was created to help eliminate that problem.
For less than $100, ADHD patients can take a simple swab test that examines four strands of genes to determine which medications will metabolize effectively or ineffectively in their bodies. This test may be purchased from pharmacies throughout North Carolina and across the Southeast.
The test considers more than 20 ADHD medications, including Adderall®, Vyvanse®, Ritalin®, Strattera® and Dexedrine®. Results can be returned in as little as 24 hours, and can be the difference in a successful or unsuccessful treatment.
