DUTIES:

• ·        The primary purpose of this position is to assist a higher grade employee in the accomplishment of duties concerning a variety of investigative studies for maintenance operations and to extract and compile performance data relative to any maintenance analysis function.

• Reviews and analyzes operating reports which are in the form of statistical listings, letters, reports, charts, graphs, etc.
• Researches maintenance performance data from recurring reports and special computer products to develop feasibility/capability reports, system summaries, attrition factor, manpower and forecasts
• Prepares analysis of maintenance performance data including summaries reflecting actual versus planned maintenance performance and extracts, compiles and records maintenance performance data from recurring and special computer compilations and reports and further analyzes data to determine trends and deviations from standard production effectiveness occurring within the function.

This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. They are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.

Retired military are usually ineligible for membership in the AF Reserves.   Retired military that have active AF Reserve assignments may apply provided they show assignment (position & unit) on their application.
