I was excited to learn about the Fort Bragg's YMCA Kids Olympics this Saturday. It seems movies and video games are the going activity of choice by tweens and younger - and they aren't even into their technology yet.
Our neighborhood Parks & Recreation do a good job of putting activities on their calendar of events but they are sparsely attended. Is is the cost? Is transportation an issue?
When we were young we had so many games outside that we played in large groups - today, you rarely see outside riding bikes. What can we do as adult to help reverse this trend. Are we part of the problem - too busy to get outside and exercise with the kids?
If you have something that has worked in your family, share it with the rest of us.
